Motion Comic: “Invincible”

The opinions below are mine…
REVISED POST: Almost two years after Invincible debuted at Comicon.  This was a big project for us: a title we are passionate about (Robert Kirkman’s witty and addictive Superhero Comic “Invincible” translated by the team at Gain into new media.  The launch was covered in the New York Times, and came a little in advance of the Watchmen motion comic.  It’s an idea I think still has legs, even if it was lost in the shuffle of comicon and not part of the mass promotional push …

Aaron Koblin, the developer behind the 1.0 version of my site howdoisaythis.com recently developed this application/music video for Radiohead. The “video” is basically a spreadsheet of coordinate data for points living in 3D space which play in time to the song. The surfaces move with the singing and you can watch the performance from either inside or outside the performers’ heads.

An old photo, but these are the perks at work – the munificent Johnny Knoxville bought manicures for the staff of jackass world that didn’t attend Dave Carnie’s wedding. Me and Wes H (an MTV developer) partook. Thanks, PJ – that was fabulous.
