Updated Mar 30, 2009 – from an original post back in October of 2007: a photo from Justin Wolske’s UCLA MFA thesis film, “Unending Hell”

The film just played in the 2009 Method Fest (not my favorite festival – my only first hand experience there was a programmer yelling at a filmmaker because the festival had lost the filmmaker’s tape and the filmmaker did not have a backup). This year, they projected Justin’s film in a blown-out shade of orange this year, so I still haven’t heard positive feedback from the festival, but hope springs eternal. The audience thought the orange was a creative choice and liked the film anyway. You should watch it if it comes to a festival near you.

“Unending Hell” produced this, my favorite still from any movie I’ve ever worked on, of Lora Kojovic, an up-and-coming Bosnian actress who is nineteen feet tall, speaks four languages and is gleeful when firing a machine gun.
